
Our Story
Award winning chef and Virginia resident, Hajara Sesay, is the executive chef and majority owner of Hajara’s Kitchens fast-casual pizzeria West African restaurants and catering company. The story began over 10 years ago with a simple catering operation of a passionate chef, wife and mother that wanted her neighborhood to enjoy African cuisine items with an American twist. Besides preparing West African staple lunches and dinners, she also has found a unique proprietary method of creating delicious American staples fused with African spices and flavors. The 1st African pizzeria in America was born.
Primarily located in Virginia, this restaurant is the first of its kind in the United States of America combining the popular pizza, chicken wings and sandwiches with a delicious West African cuisine menu that serves both American residents and Africans living in the region.
